Youtube has, for the most part, replaced my television. And while I have not yet taken the Red Hot Chili Pepper's advice and thrown away the old box, I have allowed myself to move away from the couch and into the rolling chair at an alarming rate. Just about any television you want to see you can find online these days and that suits me just fine. However, more and more I'm also reverting to Youtube to settle those late night 'Ohrenwürmer' with music videos and trashy fan made slideshows. All and all it is a good tool of the internet.
Sometimes though it goes above and beyond these luxuries and pays off with a gem I'd never expect- real, enjoyable, user made, content. Is there any group of words more thrilling, surprising and rewarding alive on the internet? Somewhere, someone, is putting something on the web that isn't shit? Who knew?! And wow, what shit it isn't! Speaking as a blogger, trust me, I know shit, I am the shitter of the internet, the man in the high tower with the can of beans- in other words, 'you want shit? I got it.' Jaaaaaaa though isn't any of that. Jaaaaaaa is simply put: damn good enjoyable ukulele skills. Here is a channel created by a cute girl, with incredible talents, and good taste, who has something for everyone, from her creative cut harmonies, through her touching and playful originals, and ending with her noticeably well performed and well known covers.
Also, Jaaaaaaa (also know as Julia Nunes) isn't afraid to play around on camera. In fact, part of my attraction to Julia's work is the air and levity in performing style; there is a certain larkishness and playful disposition which is contagious. The body of Julia Nunes' work doesn't take its self too serious but is still top shelf in quality so that a jump from a Kanye West cover to a fun song about break ups isn't that hard to believe at all and is instead more expected than anything else would be.
Short and Sweet
Check out her channel, there are some 40 videos there with a range of different sounds you're sure to love if you enjoyed any of this.

Nice post, Caleb. I remember her from before. But it's Ohrwürmer. You pluralized both ear and worm.

Are you trying to say I've got a worm in each ear?
